PH Technology Solutions LLC built the Redacto app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by PH Technology Solutions LLC and is intended for use as is.

Redacto is built to be private by design. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not run servers that receive the screenshots or PDFs you edit. Your content is processed entirely on your device. The only information that ever leaves your device is what is required to process a purchase, and whatever you yourself choose to share or save.

The Content You Edit Stays on Your Device

Screenshots and PDFs you open in Redacto are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to us or to any third party. Face and text detection (“auto-detect” and “find text”) run on-device using Apple’s Vision framework; no image data is sent off your device. When you export, redactions are permanently flattened into the image and standard metadata such as EXIF and GPS location is removed. Saving or sharing a redacted file happens only when you initiate it, to the destination you choose. We do not collect, store, or have access to your photos, documents, or the contents of your redactions.

Information Collection and Use

The Redacto app itself does not collect any personally identifiable information from you. There is no account, sign-in, or email collection, and we do not include analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers.

Purchases

Redacto offers an optional paid subscription and a one-time purchase (“Redacto Pro”). All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see or receive your payment-card details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscriptions and unlock Pro features. To do this, RevenueCat receives purchase and transaction information, a randomly generated anonymous app user identifier, and basic device and app information (such as device model, operating system version, and the IP address used to infer country). This information is used solely to validate and manage your purchase and entitlements. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or the content you edit. You can review RevenueCat’s privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. We do not use this information to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell it.

Permissions

Add to Photos — used only to save a redacted copy back to your photo library when you tap Save. Redacto creates a new photo and never modifies or deletes your originals.

Service Providers

We use the third parties named above (Apple and RevenueCat) solely to process and manage purchases on our behalf. They have access only to the limited purchase-related information described above and are obligated not to use it for any other purpose. We do not employ any analytics or advertising providers.

Data Retention

Because we operate no servers that receive your content, we retain none of it. Purchase records are held by Apple and RevenueCat under their respective policies for as long as needed to provide and account for your purchase.

Links to Other Sites

This Service may contain links to other sites (for example, the App Store, or Apple’s and RevenueCat’s policies). If you click a third-party link you will be directed to that site. These external sites are not operated by us, and we have no control over and assume no responsibility for their content or privacy practices.

Children’s Privacy

Redacto is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not hold personal data ourselves, requests about purchase data may need to be directed to Apple or RevenueCat as the processors. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
